Cortijo La Torrera is a classic traditional Spanish farmhouse, completely restored in 1995 and is situated in the lower Alpujarras Southern Spain. It is in the province of Granada, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Alpujarra. (Made famous by Gerald Brenan`s book “South of Granada”). In a valley which comes down from Gualchos, 10 klm from the mountain village of Lujar, and 3 km from the seaside town of Castell de Ferro. This coastline of Granada is commonly known as The Costa Tropical. There is easy access from the Mediterranean motorway ( N340) and it is only 105 km from Malalga airport , 90 km from Almeria and the natural park of Cabo de Gata. Granada with its international airport, Ski Resort of Sierra Nevada and the famous Alhambra Palace is only an hour and a quarter away.
