Accommodation
The farmhouse “La Torrera Alta”, which comprises of the main farmhouse and an independent cottage, is situated on its own hill in mountainous and agricultural scenery, facing south to the Mediterranean sea only 3 km away. There are views of the lighthouse and ancient Moorish castle which is lit up at night. La Torrera Alta is more than 170 years old and has been carefully and lovingly restored, offering facilities for up to 12 persons, maintaining its Andalucian rustic charm whilst providing all modern comforts.
In front of the bar and dining room is the old threshing circle once used to grind corn by mule on the ground laid out with large stones (era). It now has a barbecue built beside it with a wood fired oven. In summer it is used as a terrace where our guests can take the opportunity to try our delicious widely known barbecued meat dishes. .
If you are seeking a relaxing, quiet holiday or short break in an area of the Costa Tropical/Lower Alpujarra, where local traditions 
still prevail and the coastline is still undeveloped and walking the local hills and mountains overlooking the sea is really exhilarating, then “La Torrera Alta is ideal for proximity and location.
Some of the activities available in the area include, deep sea fishing, diving, hill/mountain walking, mountain biking etc. Most of these activities can be organised by prior notification.
The average autum/winter temperature`s are between 10·C to 20·C,whilst spring/summer temperatures between 20·C to 38·C.
Accommodation
Farmhouse/Cortijo;
There are three double bedrooms with their own bathroom/shower in the main farmhouse. Each with exposed wooden roof beams, has its own particular style, décor and homely simple atmosphere. One of these rooms , under the sloping eaves of the house, has its own separate entrance with sun terrace and views of the Mediterranean. There is an equipped kitchen, with a breakfast room adjoining , a reading room, two living rooms and a dining room with open fireplace, DVD and television.
Cottage/Casita;
Besides the main farmhouse , yet independent, is a cottage with two double bedrooms, south facing salon with fireplace, bathroom/shower and a small equipped kitchen
Alongside the cottage through a typical Alpujarras – style porch, is a pool, measuring 5 x 5 metres where you can take a refreshing dip on those hot days.
At the entrance to the cortijo, in the converted stables and wine bodega, there is a comfortable bar and dining room with a big central fireplace.
